Debbie Katherine Carme Scholarship Memorial Race Description

Do you feel that you are not appreciated enough for your efforts? Try imagining people who volunteer to help the old and the disabled in the community. They do all these work, yet no one recognizes them. Some of these people take up these noble activities and double as mothers and husbands. They do all their duties and some of them do not get paid a buck. It is not always easy to volunteer or be employed in these fields. In the contemporary world, there are fewer people who can volunteer to work under such condition. The society has a duty to appreciate the few who are still helping the less privileged and honoring those who passed on helping the less privileged.

Debra Katherine famously known as Debbie loved helping people. It is from this that she chose to become a nurse.  She suffered from postpartum depression and committed suicide and died August 30, 1976.   At the time of her death, her kids were 4years old and the other barely 5 months old. If people come together, they can help people like Debbie avoid going to the extent of committing suicide. The world needs more people like Debbie, thus it is the duty of everyone to help nurses feel appreciated. People should come together and support all programs directed at promoting all nurses. You are welcome to make the efforts of appreciating nurses and other volunteers deal with issues affecting them. This is through donating to Debbie's memorial that will not only help practicing nurses, but nursing students as well.
